Bizerba is well prepared to set out for Procurement 4.0

Bizerba is working on the implementation of Industry 4.0 throughout all business units - including purchasing. Employees should carry out their core tasks here and not spend their time manually processing order confirmations. For this reason, it was important to the technology company to automate the process of incoming order confirmations as best as possible.

Bizerba processes order confirmations mainly by e-mail PDF. However, the future direction is to process as many documents as possible via EDI. Precisely for this, a powerful solution was needed within SAP, in which all paths for incoming order confirmations converge centrally.

The implementation of the solution only took about four months. This was simply because the project team had already prepared the ground. Besides efficiency, Bizerba now also benefits from better data that allows it to better measure and control on-time delivery.
