New year, new obligations.
Let's take a look at Europe and Southeast Asia: what has changed where at the turn of the year?
- Changes in Europe
- Germany: the receipt of e-invoices will become mandatory nationwide in the B2B sector (exceptions until 2027)
- Denmark: the seconde phase of Accounting Act come into force, making e-invoicing mandatory for corporations and medium-sized companies (provided they use non-certified accounting software.
- Portugal: e-invoicing becomes mandatory for all companies in the B2G sector. Previously, this regulation only applied to large businesses.
- Romania: start of the nationwide obligation to e-invoicing in the B2C sector
- Changes in Southeast Asia
- Malaysia: e-invoicing becomes mandatory for all companies with an annual turnover of over 5 million euros
- Singapore: all PEPPOL access points in Singapore are required to support PEPPOL PINT SG format
